Do I need dance experience to join?
No experience is needed, everyone is welcome
We have all levels of learners
Do I need to wear special shoes?
Wear soft-soled shoes
Ghillies are the typical dance shoe for Scottish Country dancing, although other shoes may be worn
Some wear jazz shoes for practice
How much do the lessons cost?
The first lesson is free
Beginners pay $25 per person per semester (total $50 for the year)
After the first year, you are a full member which is presently $50 per person per semester (total $100 for the year)
What ages can join?
Ages vary from teens (12 & up) to senior adults
What are the length of the classes?
In person dance classes are held weekly on Tuesdays, September – June:
For beginners (7:30-8:30pm)
Members (7:30 – 10:00pm)
We use the Guilford County School schedule for closings
Do I need to come with a partner?
No partner needed – Singles are welcome
Do I need to enroll before coming?
No, you do not need to preregister. Just show up and start dancing!
